Powerful, political & personalised VBAC mentoring
Hey there beautiful woman...
Get ready for a powerful VBAC journey
I am Lizzie Carroll, VBAC mentor, doula, advocate, birthy bullshit sorter-outerer, and mum of 3. I've also been running the VBAC Australia Support Group since 2013 (growing it from 25 members to over 14 000). I live in sunny Townsville, North Queensland, and love gardening, reading, and coming up with ways to rock the system and burn the patriarchy.
After my first two births (both unplanned caesareans with varying levels of trauma and obstetric violence) I spent a lot of time second guessing my decisions, my body, my partner, and my inner power.
It was a pretty shit time.
In my third pregnancy I re-discovered my power and afterwards I knew that every decision I made was MINE and was right for me and my family at that point in time.
Over these years and journeys I have learned a LOT about birth, VBAC, women, power, relationships, communication, feminism, and the system.
And I would love for you to benefit from this learning.
“I don’t empower you – I support you as you re-discover, re-imagine, and re-ignite the power you had all along.”
Before I became a doula it never occurred to me that pregnancy and birth could be a time of great political upheaval for women.
Policies, negotiations, professionals, even our own family politics can become a little trickier to manage at this time (and if you’ve ever made a birth choice that your mother doesn't agree with you’ll know what I’m talking about!).
My passion is to help you to navigate these tricky times with confidence and pizzazz. I support you as you make decisions, do more research, and change your decisions again and again. I help you find options when you think there are none. I value your intuition as a part of your decision making process. I believe that your birth goals should be based on your own beliefs, values and needs and that you should always research your options and take responsibility for making your own informed decisions. So WELCOME to my website! Grab a cuppa (or a wine) and make yourself at home. My musings & more page has lots of thought provoking blog posts and you can check out what support I have to offer. I LOVE having conversations with women about their journeys and what they need, so please feel free to contact me anytime. You can email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org anytime.
I'd also love to offer you to sign up to my newsletter and grab my free Guide to boldly busting birthy bullshit. This is a great way to start exploring birthy bullshit and what it might mean for your journey.
I cannot wait to see you reclaim your inner power.
